Coples developing skills this spring
Kinston (N.C.) defensive end Quinton Coples is putting in time both in the weight room and the track in order to get ready for football season. The 6-7, 235-pound rising senior is working on improving his overall skill set, while also enhancing his position-specific talents.
"I'm lifting weights and running miles, and working on catching and stuff, and my position," Coples said. "I would say I'm working on pass rushing, and that's about it, as far as playing defensive end. Everything else is on pace."
Coples has gotten some visitors in recent weeks from N.C. State, Tennessee, and East Carolina. While UNC has remained heavily interested, they did not visit Kinston this month.
