Virginia is for Huskies?
It's clear that the Connecticut football staff has seen a lot of high school football in the state of Virginia.
Currently the Huskies have just one player from Virginia, but last year's top-ranked recruit, linebacker Jarrell Miller, hails from Richmond. But if Randy Edsall and his staff have their way next year's roster could be have plenty more Virginia natives on it.
Of the 50 or so reported offers that the Huskies have made, 11 of them have been extended to prospects in that commonwealth.
According to the Rivals database, UConn has offered full rides to three running backs, three offensive linemen, three athletes, a cornerback and a wide receiver who call Virginia home.
One name that can probably being taken off of that list is Charlottesville offensive tackle Kyle Long of St. Anne's-Belfield.
