Quarterbacks get on board early
No position grabs the interest of fans like quarterback, and that is certainly true of the Razorback faithful.
However, much of the drama of quarterback recruiting for Arkansas in the Class of 2008 was removed when coach Houston Nutt hired David Lee to become offensive coordinator.
Lee isn't only a big-time coach with NFL experience, but he is also a very respected and successful recruiter. This year, Lee looked at several quarterbacks and then decided to offer Camden Fairview's Jim Youngblood, 6-foot-3.5, 217 pounds, 4.69 seconds in the 40-yard dash, and Dodge City (Kan.) High School's Kale Pick, 6-1, 198, 4.48.
