Mustain getting settled
From "Year of the Dog" to the Men of Troy, it's been a wild year for former Arkansas quarterback Mitch Mustain.
After leading the Razorbacks to an 8-0 record and SEC West title, the No. 10 player in the 2006 Rivals100 just arrived at USC and is working to get familiar with the program.
"I feel pretty comfortable," said Mustain, who threw for 894 yards and 10 touchdowns as a freshman. "I've been working every day with some of the (graduate assistants) getting the offense down, just getting into it."
For Mustain, summer workouts provide an opportunity to learn the basics of the Trojans passing attack.
"It's important. The time we have is unlimited really for us. I mean, it's important that I get in and do what we can right now," Mustain said. "I'll be running the scout team (this fall). A lot of the terminology we use in that is the same, so I'll still be learning stuff. At the same time, this is a lot of time I have to get it all straight."
