Warchant.com VIRGINIA BEACH, VA -- As soon as Bobby Bowden hired Jimbo Fisher to run his offense and coach his quarterbacks, the hunt was on to find a top notch recruit to be the quarterback of the future at Florida State.
After February's national signing day, several different quarterback names began to surface but one player in particular caught the attention of Fisher, E.J. Manuel. Right when FSU started to turn up the heat on the Virginia Beach (VA) Bayside High School signal-caller, he started soaring up the recruiting rankings following several impressive performances at camps and combines.
