Illini football fans had smiles on their faces when they learned 6-foot-2, 220-pound Georgia Military Academy blue-chip safety Donsay Hardeman had verbally committed to Ron Zook's program last month. Find out more about the Jacksonville (Fla.) native in this update.
The Orange&Blue News' spoke with Georgia Military Academy head coach Bert Williams to get more on the former Jacksonville Raines star.
"Donsay is an amazing talent," Williams said recently.
"Spring came around and other coaches came by, looked at film and asked about Donsay? My response was always, 'Illinois placed him here and until I hear otherwise, he is going to Illinois'. South Carolina, Miami (Fla.), Alabama, Georgia Tech, Georgia, South Florida, Central Florida, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Clemson, most everyone that recruits this school was real interested in Donsay."
