Talent emerges at Texas championship
COLLEGE STATION, Texas- The first day of the Texas 7-on-7 State Championships featured several strong showings by Division I-A prospects, including a sleeper prospect from tiny Canton, Texas, that already holds a scholarship offer from one Big 12 North program.
Jumbo athlete Keavon Milton is a 6-foot-4, 220-pound tight end/wide receiver/defensive end that led Canton, located in a town with a population of just over 3,000, to Friday's bracket action.
Offensively (he did not play any defense), Milton displayed good hands and runs good routes. He is at his best when he takes advantage of his height and goes up and gets the ball.
