Two days ago Miami Northwestern LB Sean Spence called Hurricane coach Randy Shannon and set up a meeting for this afternoon.

And when they got together Spence had good news for the coach: He will be part of the 2008 recruiting class.

It also didn't hurt that he has several teammates that have already committed to the Canes, including close friend Jacory Harris.

The 6-foot-1, 195-pounder with 4.6-second speed chose Miami over UNC, Alabama and USF.
