In the recruiting battle for defensive end/tight end prospect Aldon Smith, three Big 12 North division rivals have stood deadlocked for the past several weeks. The 6-foot-5, 235-pound athlete out of Raytown, Missouri has already taken unofficial visits to two of those schools. This weekend he and his father will travel to Lincoln, Neb., to get a look at the third.

He has offers from Nebraska, Missouri and Kansas State.
