The 2006 season ended on a sour note for Derrick Hall. With aspirations of a long postseason run for his Beaumont Central Jaguars, Hall broke his leg near the end of the first playoff game.

Though Central went on to beat a previously undefeated Barbers Hill squad in that game, Hall's presence was sorely missed as the Jaguars saw their season end with a loss to La Marque the following week.

The Texas A&M commit is now focused on his senior season that brings a position change on offense after lining up mostly at wide receiver a year ago.
