Smith excited for start of the season
Raytown DE Aldon Smith has been one of the most talked about recruits in the state of Missouri over the summer. Now that football season has arrived, Smith said he is excited to get his senior year underway with the first game of the season.
When he has had time to think about recruiting, Smith said it has remained a three team race between Missouri, Kansas State, and Nebraska. He said that communication over the past few weeks has been sparse, but hopefully, will resume again soon.
After a late summer visit to Lincoln, Smith said he has been able to get an idea of how each campus runs. The visits have also made him realize things may be harder than he once thought.
Smith hoped that once he took a few official visits, he could see some separation between the three Big 12 North schools. He said one visit to each campus wasn't enough and plans to be on campus for at least one game at each school. Whether the visits are official or otherwise remained to be seen, but Smith said that the more times he got to compare schools, the more informed his decision could be.
