Wednesday's practice report: Beck settling in
Redshirt sophomore quarterback Harrison Beck is receiving credit for helping North Carolina State nearly rally from a 25-3 halftime deficit versus Central Florida to nearly tie the game in the fourth quarter last Saturday.
Listen to Beck talk and you would believe he had nothing to do with it.
"I just went out there and played football," Beck said. "We were down and the offense started playing better. It wasn't even me. Beck did help jumpstart the Pack's offense by completing 17 of 26 passes for 207 yards and a pair of scores. He was also picked off on the game's final play, with UCF winning 25-23. Because of his effort, the Nebraska transfer was awarded the starting job during a Monday meeting with the coaches.
