Ask the Expert Q&A: ASU Sun Devils
Each week throughout the football season, we will run a story previewing Colorado's upcoming opponent through the view of a beat writer covering that team. This week, Chris Karpman from ASUDevils.com was kind enough to take time out to give Colorado fans insight into their next opponent, the Arizona State Sun Devils.
What did you take away from the Sun Devils' 45-3 win over San Jose State in their season opener on Saturday?
Chris Karpman: "We learned is that ASU is going to pound the ball on the ground until opponents prove they can stop it. We also saw an efficiency that was missing last season and even perhaps in recent years before that. There was just one turnover, very few penalties, fewer mental mistakes than you'd expect for a season opener, and nothing looked forced or out of place with either the offense or defense. The Sun Devils hardly blitzed on defense, and didn't give away much of their scheme on either side of the ball."
