Jeff Smith back?
It might not have been as tough as it looked.
"It's never as good as you think and it's never as bad as you think," Jeff Jagodzinski said Sunday after viewing the tapes of Saturday's 37-17 victory over Army, adding "perception and reality are different.
"It just wasn't as sharp as our standard of the way we want to play," Jagodzinski told his weekly phone conference.
While the feeling in the stands and the pressbox Saturday was one of blah over the performance of the home team, the coach was saying it really was OK. After all, Matt Ryan was able to throw the ball all over the field seemingly at will, and Army, which had no running game coming in, left with that shortcoming intact.
"I don't think it was letdown," Jags said. "I don't think we were as sharp as we should (have been)."
