Q: You tore your hamstring last year against Duke.

McCarthy: It was midway through the game. We'd scored, kicked off. I was going down on a kickoff, cut the wrong way and hurt my hamstring. It popped.

Q: Do you remember the end of the game?

McCarthy: I was out on the field, watched everything as far as the interception late in the game to give us a win.

Q: What do you guard against this year so that doesn't happen again?

McCarthy: They have a lot of good receivers, their quarterbacks can scramble a lot. If we can hold that like we did against Texas A&M we'll be good.
