USC gives Davis a yell
While top rated defensive tackles are hard to find on the West Coast, they terrorize quarterbacks in almost every high school league and district in the South.
In Houston (Texas), district 19-5A is owned by four-star defensive tackle Rod Davis. Committing to Texas A&M last January, Davis never thought he'd receive a call from the (213) area code.
On the other line was USC linebacker coach, and former Dallas Cowboy All-Pro Ken Norton Jr..
"I've only talked to him twice, maybe three times," said Davis. "The first time we spoke he called just to see if I was interested (in USC). The second time he called we talked about his history, the school's history and stuff like that.
