Richt on the State of the Bulldogs
Georgia coach Mark Richt said Tuesday he's leaning toward giving linebacker Rennie Curran his first career start Saturday against Vanderbilt.
The freshman from Snellville suffered what Richt described as "a bit of a concussion" during last week's game against Tennessee, but expects him to ready for the Commodores.
"He's going to be in the green jersey today, but we expect him to be OK," Richt said. "If not for the concussion, we'd definitely be making a strong move in that direction (starting)."
Curran saw his first significant action against the Vols, collecting a career-high seven tackles.
If Curran starts, he will take over for Darius Dewberry at the "Will" position, with Dannell Ellerbe at "Mike" and Brandon Miller at "Sam."
