Prue now making impact at Morgan State

October 18, 2007 - Former Georgetown Men's Basketball video coordinator Darryl Pure is no longer working with the school, as he's taken a full assistant coach position with Morgan State University. Prue, a former frontcourt standout at Dunbar High School (DC), West Virginia University, and in several international professional leagues has hit the ground running at his new home.

"It's different" said Prue recently via telephone, of his acclimation to not only Morgan State, but Baltimore generally, as he's moved there. "I just got used to being in one place".

Prue, who started as a volunteer at Georgetown "around a week before the first game of the season" in 2004-2005, graduated from Dunbar and West Virginia in 1985 and 1989 respectively, before playing professionally in Brazil, America's Continental Basketball Association, the Global League, Spain, Israel, Czechoslovakia, and Korea, ending his playing career in 2001.

Upon returning home, the Southeast, Washington, DC native started working with young people through workouts - current Clemson Tiger David Potter was one - while coaching St. Patrick's Episcopal Day School (something that was actually done intermittingly since 1997, when returning from professional duty).
