Bradford hits big plays against Baylor
Against the Baylor Bears, Sam Bradford wasn't his usual self. He was actually much better than the high standard he has already set. Bradford completed 20-of-25 passes for 353 yards and three touchdowns and continued his assault on NCAA all-time records for a freshman quarterback.
Bradford also found a new target on Saturday as Manuel Johnson stepped up and led the Sooners in receiving for the first time this season with 126 yards on four catches. Demarco Murray also added an extra dimension to the OU offense with 95 yards on only 13 carries.
Q: Sam, was this one of your best nights with the deep ball? It seemed like even the ones you missed you had the ball hitting guys in the hands or somewhere they could catch it.
Sam Bradford: I felt comfortable tonight throwing the deep ball. I think each week I gain more comfort with our wide receivers and timing. I did feel comfortable throwing the deep ball tonight.
Q: It seemed like you had a great deal of time out there tonight
Bradford: Yeah, I don't think I got hit tonight. They did an amazing job tonight. It was probably one of our best games. I don't think they had a pressure, a sack, or anything. I don't think I got touched.
They've been doing a wonderful job all year and tonight they played great.
When your offensive line is able to do that it's a great help not having to scramble and run for your life. It makes it so much more - I can just sit in the pocket and find your guys.
