The Rise of Robinson
It was a hard decision to make at the time, but it turned out to be one of the best moves in the young coaching career of one Mike Gundy.
That decision? The switch from Bobby Reid to Zac Robinson at quarterback.
At the time, it was a controversial move. In hindsight, it looks a little bit like the 1980 presidential election: the new guy buried the incumbent, and it wasn't even close.
So if Robinson is OSU football's version of Ronald Reagan, can we expect him to wheel out his own version of Star Wars? Most likely not, but after the season he's had this year, he's definitely on a track to become one of the biggest stars Cowboy football has ever seen. After the Baylor performance, he's now the single-season leader in total offensive yards (3,122 and counting) and No. 3 in both single-season passing yardage (2,417) and rushing yardage for a quarterback (705).
