NFL source says White, Reynaud have best chance
MORGANTOWN-West Virginia has four football players who are NFL draft-worthy, according to someone who should know, and two of them are underclassmen.
Pat White, Steve Slaton, Darius Reynaud, Keilen Dykes, Owen Schmitt and Johnny Dingle have been mentioned as potential league draft picks when the annual event comes around in late April. White, Slaton, Reynaud and Dingle have junior eligibility. Dykes and Schmitt are the only Mountaineers among this group whose clocks run out after the Jan. 2 Fiesta Bowl.
But a longtime general manager, player personnel director, and scout says that of the group, White and Reynaud's chances are the best of the five candidates. And it doesn't matter whether they choose to declare for the draft on Jan. 15 or wait through their 2008 seasons.
