Tallahassee duo ready to visit Iowa
Tallahassee Lincoln teammates Josh Gehres and Padric Scott will make an official visit to the University of Iowa this weekend. The duo, who helped lead Lincoln to a 10-2 record this year, will fly out to Iowa on Friday morning.
This past summer, Scott actually verbally committed to Minnesota, but recently reopened his recruiting. Currently, he is looking primarily at Stanford and South Florida, along with Iowa, who just entered the picture in the last couple of weeks.
While Scott has been receiving Division I recruiting interest since last spring, his teammate, Gehres, is just starting to emerge. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound wide receiver is coming off a huge senior season, where he had 1,110 yards receiving and 13 touchdowns catching passes from four-star quarterback B.J. Daniels.
The trip to Iowa will be the first official visit for Gehres, who also has a scholarship offer from Memphis and is starting to hear from several other schools.
