Martin considering Notre Dame
Maybe it has been a good thing no one wants to wrestle Mike Martin this winter. The 6-2, 285-pound defensive end and reigning state wrestling title holder from Detroit Catholic Central has found willing opponents tough to come by this season, but it has given him more time to ponder the changes in his recruitment.
Martin pinned three opponents in a total time of 2:03 over the course of three separate matches two weekends ago to take the Kent City Classic title in the Heavyweight Division. Since then, opposing coaches have voided their Heavyweight wrestlers in individual meets so as not to subject them to Martin's dominance. Although he would rather be wrestling, he is getting more time to consider his next step recruiting-wise.
