Tide springs forward
One of the primary curiosities entering spring drills was whether defensive back Javier Arenas would work with safeties or cornerbacks. He began last season with corners, but was switched to safety in midseason and played the nickelback spot for several games before suffering an ankle injury.
With the NCAA-mandated three days of practice before full pads can be worn, UA took the field in just helmets and shorts on Thursday.
The Crimson Tide will resume work Friday afternoon, then will be off for Spring Break until practice resumes on March 24.
