Aggies add South Carolina scorer to '09 class
Charleston (SC) Porter Gaud School small forward Khris Middleton has been a surprise throughout the spring. First it was his improved play throughout the AAU spring season that has caused schools like Texas A&M, South Carolina and Nebraska to offer him with other high-major programs such as Oklahoma, Marquette, Michigan, Georgia Tech, Georgia and Virginia Tech to increase their efforts in recruiting him.
The second surprise came when the 6-foot-7, 205-pound Middleton showed up on the A&M campus two weekends ago after visiting relatives for his cousin's graduation in Louisiana. The Aggies had shown interest in Middleton so he decided to make the short trip to College Station for an unofficial visit.
The third surprise came late Thursday night when Middleton made his decision known as to where he would play his college basketball. The Rivals.com three-star prospect has scholarship offers from Texas A&M, South Carolina, Nebraska, Charlotte and St. Joseph's. He is gaining heavy interest from Oklahoma, Geogia Tech, Georgia, Marquette, Michigan and Virginia Tech.
