Vaz takes in fall camp
After camping at Oregon State in June, it didn't take long for Cody Vaz to decide that he wanted to be a Beaver once he was offered a scholarship. The talented 6-foot-1, 200-pound quarterback from St. Mary's High School in Stockton, California felt good about his decision when it was made, but still wanted an opportunity to see more of the school he would be attending next fall. So when fall camp began for the Beavers last weekend, Vaz made the trip up to Corvallis to soak in the sights.
"I wanted to check out practice, meet some of the guys, and check up on some of the things I didn't see the last time because I didn't get to see everything," Vaz said. "It all went really good and it's all really nice. Just getting to meet some of the guys and building a good relationship with Tramaine Thompson who just committed, talking with Coach (Mike) Riley and seeing Corvallis - it was a good experience and I made a good decision I know that."
