White builds on record-breaking career
MORGANTOWN--The legend of Pat White continued to grow throughout West Virginia's 48-21 victory over Villanova on Saturday. The senior signal caller set a number of personal bests while continuing his assault on the Mountaineer record book, which already stands as a testament to White's status as perhaps the greatest WVU football player of all time.
Against the Wildcats, White completed 25 of 33 passes for 208 yards and five touchdowns, with one interception on a tipped ball. He also ran for 63 yards on nine carries. The performance could serve as a solid start to White's Heisman Trophy candidacy. At the very least, however, it helped White stake his claim to a few more records.
