In Year Two, Huggins blends old with new

WVSports.com MORGANTOWN--When a great coach takes the reins of an already successful program, he doesn't force the returning talent to abandon its strengths in order to fit his new system. Instead, a great coach will temporarily alter his philosophy to allow the talent at hand to succeed, while gradually remaking the program in his own image. That core principle of coaching was employed by Bob Huggins last season as he took charge of the West Virginia University men's basketball program. The results exceeded the expectations of even the most optimistic Mountaineer fans.
