Auburn offense blanked by Tide
Against No. 1 Alabama Saturday, Auburn's offense needed its biggest and best performance of the season. That didn't happen.
Not even close.
The Tigers rushed for just 57 yards on 30 carries (1.9 avg.), passed for a mere 113 yards and was blanked on the scoreboard for the first time all year as the Tide upended Auburn 36-0 in Tuscaloosa.
"Too inconsistent," said Auburn's acting offensive coordinator Steve Ensminger. "(Alabama) did a good job. They had a heck of a plan and they stuffed most of the things we decided to do. We were just too inconsistent."
