Things winding down for UCLA football
Rick Kimbrel
BruinSportsReport.com UCLA is down to their last practice of the 2008 season and in a few days the Bruins will be putting their disappointing season to rest. On a positive note, the Bruins have had an energized week of practice and have showed no sign of quitting. As always, UCLA head coach Rick Neuheisel met the press, a group that has grown this week, must be rivalry week.
Neuheisel: "It was another good practice. As you would expect for a big game like this, the guys are into it, the pads are cracking and I was pleased for the effort. Hopefully it will translate into a great performance on Saturday."
You guys wore shorts today?
Neuheisel: "Yes, we have been banging a lot. It's the time of year where you try to save your energy for Saturday."
Does Brian Price have a hamstring problem again?
Neuheisel: "No, no, no, Brian is fine. He had a little bit of stomach disorder, but he's fine."
Kai Forbath has been locked in for you guys over the last six games
Neuheisel: "Kai has been terrific. He's been very, very solid. I think the last kick he missed was at Oregon and he's been very valuable and we're excited that he's going to be back and I think he's as good as there is in the country."
