Jackson updates his status
Amite County offensive lineman Gabriel Jackson watched and waited just like everyone else for Mississippi State to announce their new head coach.
The 6-foot-4, 310-pounder from Liberty, Miss., anxiously awaited during the 12 day ordeal after Sylvester Croom resigned.
"I was just wondering who the next coach was going to be," Jackson said. "They had different options of who they were probably going to get. I heard a lot of rumors of who was going to be the next coach. Basically I was just waiting to see who was going to be the next coach."
Jackson said he was watching the news when he found out that the Bulldogs had named Florida offensive coordinator Dan Mullen as it's next head coach.
"I saw it on the news that he was going to be the new head coach," Jackson said. "I'm excited about meeting him because I really don't know too much about him."
It did not take Mullen long to get in touch with the three-star talent.
