Dawkins talks about season, Duke

When Chesapeake (Va.) Atlantic Shores Christian guard Andre Dawkins committed to the Duke Blue Devils in late June, the 6-foot-4, 190-pound recruit was holding five-star status on Rivals.com. Due largely in part to playing on an AAU team loaded with rising seniors, Dawkins saw his rating dip to a four-star. Despite the drop no one has ever doubted that he would regain his status among the elite, and so far this season the junior has already begun making his case for a climb back up the charts.

Dawkins has consistently led his ASCS team to big win after big win this season. He has served as the team's top scorer, and has at times put them on his back and carried them to several big victories. While his dominating presence in the scoring column has been a staple of his game since arriving in high school, Dawkins has made sure that other areas of his game have improved with each passing year.

Heading into this season, Dawkins wanted to improve in other areas of his game. So far, he is pleased with his progression.
