Sooners Extend QB Offer on Jr. day
Even with the most media savvy high school prospects usually there is some digging to find a desired answer. However in the case of Houston Second Baptist star quarterback Connor Wood some news is simply too good to keep bottled up. The 6-foot-4, 210-pound pro-style signal caller wasted little time itching the scratch on his brain.
"The visit went good, I got some good news. I got an offer from Oklahoma at the junior day today," Wood said.
Last week Wood admitted he wasn't expecting an Oklahoma offer in the near future and certainly not during the junior day. However, the news that came as a surprise to both him and his family was more than welcome.
"At first coach Josh Heupel said they weren't going to make any offer on junior day, but they surprised me," he said. "I'm so excited about it. Like I said, coach Heupel is picky with his quarterbacks that he wants to get and for me to be picked as one of them that's quite an honor."
