Shaping the 09 offense
Utah's offense came to life in the 2008 season, leading the MWC and finishing 15th nationally in scoring, averaging 36.9 points per game. Remarkably, that is an improvement of almost 11 points per game over the 2007 squad that averaged 26.2 points per game and marks the highest point total under head coach Kyle Whittingham. Most of the improvement and success can be attributed to quarterback Brian Johnson and the rest of the departing senior class. How will Utah's offense rebuild without the program's winningest quarterback of all time?
