Williams fits WVU mold
MORGANTOWN--West Virginia's offense runs off speed balls like Avery Williams. Steve Slaton started the trend in 2005. Last season, Noel Devine took the so-called baton. The next such headliner is anyone's guess, but it would appear that they are lining up to be that guy.
The Mountaineers hosted another sub-6-foot/4.5 40-yard-dash man Saturday at its Elite Junior Day when Washington, D.C.'s Avery Williams made his way to the campus here to take in a spring scrimmage and then meet with the coaching staff.
