Gadsden CB visits Auburn's spring game
Gadsden City (Ala.) cornerback Dale Trimble spent a couple of days in Auburn this week, attending Saturday's A-Day game.
Trimble said he was impressed with the atmosphere as more than 45,000 fans filled Jordan-Hare Stadium.
"It was crazy," Trimble said. "It was a real good visit. I enjoyed Auburn and look forward to going back."
The 5-foot-10, 175-pound Trimble met with AU head coach Gene Chizik and then spent time with several assistants including Phillip Lolley, Tommy Thigpen and Trooper Taylor.
"Coach Lolley said they're looking for a physical corner that will compete," Trimble said. "He said his guys always work hard.
"They treated me right down there. They knew who I was."
Trimble said he spent a lot of time with two former Gadsden City players and current Auburn walk-ons -- cornerback Jeremy Flowers and offensive lineman Charles Bates.
