Caudle relishes role in spotligtht
You couldn't blame any of Auburn's quarterbacks for tiring of the scrutiny and questions.
Until AU settles on a clear starter it will be the central issue this fall.
But Neil Caudle doesn't mind all the questions. In fact, he welcomes them. It certainly beats the alternative.
"I would rather have you guys asking me all kinds of questions than nobody caring what I had to say," Caudle said.
A junior, Caudle finished spring practice in a dead heat with junior Kodi Burns for the starting quarterback position. Senior Chris Todd, along with three true freshman, are expected to join the battle this fall.
It's a far cry from where Caudle was just nine months ago -- a distant third-teamer who had essentially been written off by three successive offensive coordinators.
But a new coaching staff and new offense has given Caudle the opportunity he's been waiting for. And he's taking advantage of it.
