UAB hungry to get back in win column
Texas A&M had Utah State on the ropes late and could've easily put the Aggies away, but A&M allowed Utah State to creep in over the last eight minutes of the ballgame to squeeze the A&M lead to just eight points before recovering an onside kick in the final minute.
A&M upped the ante on defense, however, and got pressure and eventually a fumble from Utah State quarterback Diondre Borel. Borel was able to keep the Aggie defense on its toes, however, for most of the game with his ability to pass and run the ball in the option.
A&M's next opponent, UAB (1-2), has a similar quarterback in Joe Webb who is a dual threat signal caller who can beat teams with his arm and his feet. But UAB is also giving up 28.67 points per game over the first three games of the season.
