Strengths: Covile shows the proper shooting mechanics for a big man in the NBA, with a high release point and range to about 20 feet with good accuracy. He also shows decent tools from the post and fills the lanes well on the fast break. A strong rebounder, Covile has a good basketball IQ and a nice overall feel for the game.
Weaknesses: Covile has the game of a center, and he lacks the ideal size for a power forward in the NBA. He could certainly stand to improve athletically. Working on his explosiveness around the rim will be important for him at the next level.
Outlook: Covile was far under the radar until his strong performances at the Portsmouth Invitational and Orlando Pre-Draft Camp. He will have to continue to work on his body, but he has an outside chance of hearing his name on draft night.
