Strengths: Caner-Medley definitely passes the eye test as far as how an NBA small forward is supposed to look. He can be effective moving off and shooting the ball from the perimeter. He is crafty in freeing himself for open looks. When he is on, he is absolutely money, and will back it up by sinking 25-footers off the dribble with ease. Weaknesses: Major questions revolve around Caner-Medley's toughness, both physically and mentally. He was wildly inconsistent in college. He showed flashes of brilliance, but more often looked passive, disinterested and incapable of stepping into the go-to role. His average ball-handling skills and underwhelming first step make him mostly a catch and shoot mid-range threat. Outlook: Caner-Medley is a prospect who was expected to become a college star but never did. He still has decent physical attributes and some intriguing skills, so a team could look to take a flyer on him somewhere in the mid-to-late second round. Comparison: Travis Hansen
