Rivals.com's Chris Nee breaks down the team rankings moves inside the top 25 following the most recent updates to the prospect rankings.
Team rankings: Breaking down the moves
Change: Moved up from No. 5 in team rankings to No. 2
Movement: Two of the Crimson Tide's 20 commitments played a big role in their jump up in the rankings. Panama City (Fla.) Arnold safety Eddie Williams, a long-time Rivals100 member, gained a fifth star. Another significant move for future members of Nick Saban's team involved Daphne (Ala.) outside linebacker Ryan Anderson, who was named a new four-star.

Movement: With just 15 commitments, the Seminoles were impacted heavily by the change of one player - St. Petersburg (Fla.) Lakewood weakside defensive end Dante Fowler Jr. Fowler Jr. was the only prospect in this update who stumbled from five-star status to four-star status. Also, De Funiak Springs (Fla.) Walton defensive tackle Dalvon Stuckey slid out of the Rivals250, but remained a four-star.

Change: Moved up from No. 11 in team rankings to No. 9
Movement: Miami saw a strong upward movement thanks to Miami (Fla.) Norland teammates Ereck Flowers and Randy Johnson both seeing upward movement. Flowers, an offensive tackle, gained a fourth-star and moved into the Rivals250. Johnson, an all-purpose back, saw a steady climb in the Rivals100 and a bump to the highest-level four-star designation. Jacksonville (Fla.) First Coast outside linebacker Reggie Northrup also moved up, gaining four-star status.

Also, Santa Margarita (Calif.) offensive tackle Max Tuerk moved up from being a low four-star to holding mid-level four-star status.

Change: Moved down from No. 14 in team rankings to No. 15
Movement: The Gamecocks dropped one spot as one of their four-star prospects was downgraded to a high three-star prospect. That prospect was Yulee (Fla.) tight end Kelvin Rainey. In addition to Rainey's drop, Decatur (Ga.) Columbia defensive end Jhaustin Thomas was also downgraded to a mid-tier three-star. A few prospects saw bumps up in the rankings, including Allentown (Pa.) Central Catholic dual-threat quarterback Brendan Nosovitch but it wasn't enough to prevent the slight drop.

Movement: Vanderbilt's five-spot jump can be attributed largely to the upgrade of Tucker (Ga.) weakside defensive end Josh Dawson, who was named a new four-star.
