Stony Brook dropped its CWS opener to No.2 overall seed UCLA 9-1 on Friday. The Bruins held the Seawovles potent offense to just five hits, including a solo home run by Pat Cantwell.

FSU fell to Arizona 4-3 in 12 innings in its CWS opener. The Seminoles had plenty of chances, but squandered multiple extra-inning scoring chance in the loss.
