While Calloway is getting familiar with the new facilities and coaches at USF, he will also get a chance to get to know his host, USF defensive lineman Julius Forte. An interesting pairing by USF head coach Willie Taggart, let's compare the two:
Calloway, who has already verbally committed to Louisville, is taking one of his final official visits to USF this weekend. The four-star recruit has garnered offers from a reported seventeen schools and is ranked in the top twenty at the defensive tackle position by Rivals.com.
Calloway is a player that many believe will have an early impact on any program he chooses. This past season at Manatee High School, Calloway anchored the defensive line with 56 tackles, 3 sacks and 13 hurries.
Forte is not so different from Calloway. A 3-star recruit in the class of 2009, Forte eventually chose the Bulls over offers from six other schools; including Louisville.
Forte had a chance to make an impact early for USF, seeing playing in nine games, registering 10 tackles and a sack. Forte emerged in 2011, totaling 21 tackles, 6 for a loss and 3 sacks.
Willie Taggart's pairing will help Calloway get the full experience of what it is like to be a defensive lineman with the Bulls.
Taggart is relying on Forte to make the best impression possible on the Manatee High School product, hoping that a good visit can persuade Calloway to flip from the Cardinals to the Bulls.
