You can take a wide receiver off of Florida State's recruiting board. Pearl River head coach Tim Hatten confirmed with Warchant.com on Monday that Larry Brackins signed with a pro agent late last week and will enter the 2005 NFL draft. The 6-foot-5, 220-pound wideout was ranked by Rivals.com as the No. 1 prospect in all of junior college.

Brackins capped off his junior college career by racking up had 11 catches for 166 yards and two touchdowns in Pearl River?s 35-14 victory over Butler (Kansas) in the junior college national championship game.

?He's the best wide receiver I've seen and I coached high school in central Florida for 14 years,? Pearl River head coach Tim Hatten said. ?He can do it all and he is amazing."

The junior college All-American was considering four schools in FSU, LSU, USC and Texas A&M. Brackins noted previously that he grew up a Florida State fan and always dreamed of playing for the Seminoles. Since he signed with a pro agent that won't be happening.

Brackins reportedly had some difficulties in the classroom and under the new stricter academic standards imposed by the NCAA it would have been an uphill battle for him to be able to transfer to a four-year university.
