High school football begins in just a couple short weeks, and for recruiting fans, it is a chance to watch your favorite prospects in action. To keep up with the top targets on Florida State's recruiting board, Warchant has put together a "menu" of weekly must see match-ups this fall.

Friday, August 28th - Cedar Park vs. Westlake: Florida State three-star linebacker commitment Holmes Onwukaife kicks off his season, and his move to linebacker from defensive end, by facing a team that includes Wake Forest commitment, three-star quarterback Tanner Price.

Thursday, September 3rd - Westwood at Treasure Coast: Five-star linebacker Jeff Luc and three-star linebacker Deon Rogers, as well as 2011 defensive backs Keelin Smith and Lamarcus Brutus square off against Westwood with quarterback Travarius Copeland and wide receiver Leon Shorter.

Friday, September 4th - Tampa Catholic at South Lake: Four-star athlete Christian Green, playing under center, will lead Tampa Catholic against South Lake who has senior three-star linebacker Stanley Evans and standout junior defensive backs Nick Waisome and Jordan Montgomery.

Friday, September 11th - Dr. Phillips at Osceola: Four-star wide receiver Kenny Shaw will square off against Georgia commitments, three-star defensive end B.J. Butler and three-star safety Marc Deas.

Friday, September 18th - North Marion at Dunnellon: Florida State commitment, three-star defensive back Terrence Brooks, along with Bubba Black, squares off against North Marion who has Chuckie Looney under center, Michael Vannucci blocking up front, Terraine McCullough at wide receiver and linebacker Brandon Carr on the defensive side of the ball.

Friday, September 25th - Alonso at Hillsborough: Alonso, led by quarterback C.J. Bennett, take on cross-town rival Hillsborough, who has Tarean Austin under center, and Rivals100 defensive back Terrence Mitchell on the defensive side of the ball. Anthony Chickillo, a 2011 defensive end for Alonso, is one to keep an eye on.

Friday, October 2nd - Byrnes at St. Thomas Aquinas: The best high school game in the country this season. RivalsHigh.com's No. 1 (St. Thomas) vs. No. 2 (Byrnes). Byrnes is led by five-star running back Marcus Lattimore on offense and the defensive side of the ball is anchored by four-star linemen Brandon Willis and Corey Miller. The Raiders of St. Thomas Aquinas have a great back of their own, four-star Giovanni Bernard, and their defense has quite possibly the best secondary in the country containing cornerbacks including five-star Lamarcus Joyner, four-star Cody Riggs and three-star Keion Payne.

Thursday, October 8th - Miami Northwestern at Miami Central: A great battle of opponents from Miami. Northwestern is once again loaded with rising junior quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, three-star running back Corvin Lamb, and four-star wide receiver Michaelee Harris leading a strong offensive attack. On defense, Miami commitment Todd Chandler anchors the defensive line. Central has plenty of weapons as well, under center for the Rockets is four-star quarterback Jeffrey Godfrey, four-star running back Brandon Gainer runs between the tackles, and four-star wide receiver Joshua Reese is their lead wideout. Wide receiver Charles Gaines is a junior to keep an eye on for the Rockets.

Friday, October 9th - Valdosta (GA) at Lowndes (GA): One of the best juniors in the Southeast plays for Valdosta in tight end Jay Rome, who holds an early offer from the Seminoles. Rome and Valdosta will battle their in-town rival, Lowndes who has two Florida State commitments in four-star offensive lineman Ed Christian and three-star linebacker Telvin Smith. Also keep an eye on Lowndes junior cornerback Tyler Hunter, who already has an offer from the Seminoles.

Saturday, October 10th - Shaw (LA) at Bourgeois (LA): Shaw, led by LSU commitment and former FSU target, four-star defensive tackle Elliott Porter, takes on H.L. Bourgeois, with FSU target, three-star defensive tackle Damien Jacobs, in a battle on the bayou.

Thursday, October 15th - Astronaut at Atlantic: Florida State commitment, four-star defensive lineman Darious Cummings and Astronaut travel to face Atlantic who return 17 starters from a season ago.

Friday, October 16th - Pelham at Wetumpka: FSU target, three-star linebacker Nigel Terrell, finds a place to fit into a busy fall schedule for Seminole fans. Terrell is joined by fellow three-star linebacker Jake Holland, an Auburn commitment.

Saturday, October 17th - Dunwoody at Columbia: Florida State commitment Tank Sessions will play both ways, tight end and defensive end, when he takes on Dunwoody. Dunwoody possesses a few talented players including running back Dalen Claytor, defensive end Adrian Dunn, and linebacker Rashad Williams.

Thursday, October 22nd - First Coast at Middleburg: Florida State commitment Tavaris Barnes leads First Coast into a Thursday night matchup with Middleburg, who has two talented backs in Rodney James and Rodney Holmes.

Friday, October 23rd - Hialeah at Miami Central: The Rockets grace the schedule for a second time. This time they host Hialeah who has two great defensive prospects in four-star defensive end Corey Lemonier and four-star defensive tackle Calvin Smith.

Thursday, October 29th - Oviedo at Lake Howell: Lake Howell is led by four-star linebacker Christian Jones. Jones will be looking to make some big plays against Oviedo quarterback Blake Bortles, who is committed to Central Florida.

Friday, October 30th - St. Thomas Aquinas at Deerfield Beach: Another chance to see St. Thomas in action. They are well worth another look.

Friday, November 6th - Pahokee at University: Pahokee, led by Florida State commitment, four-star wide receiver De'Joshua Johnson, has a plethora of major prospects including Richard Ash, Merrill Noel, and Chris Dunkley. They will square off against University, whose defensive line has three-star David Perry coming off the edge.

Saturday, November 7th - Freedom (PA) at Liberty (PA): A long road trip north to see standout athlete, three-star quarterback Anthony Gonzalez in action.

Friday, November 13th - Kathleen at Lakeland: A battle on I-4. Kathleen, led by Florida State commitment, three-star safety Chad Abrams will look to upset the Dreadnaughts. Leading the Dreadnaughts offensive attack is three-star athlete, quarterback Jarred Haggins, and 2011 standout wide receiver Javares McRoy. On the defensive side of the ball, Lakeland has Purdue commitment William Lucas and three-star Quayshawn Nealy in their linebackers corps.

Saturday, November 14th - Central at Booker T. Washington: Central makes it on the schedule for the last game before the playoffs roll around. This time they travel to face Booker T. Washington. Washington is loaded with four-stars, including running back Eduardo Clements, wide receivers Quinton Dunbar and Ted Meline, as well as defensive end Lynden Trail.
