I think that UT's MBA program is a very good one, but really it is all about what you are looking for from a program and what you are looking to do after school. If you have a lot of work experience, then where you get your MBA is going to be less important. If you don't have a lot of work experience and you are looking to get a job for some corporation on the national level, then I would say attend the best school that you can get into.

I chose UT because I moved to Tampa to be with my girlfriend and it was either UT or USF for an MBA. USF really pissed me off because of how they handled my applications process. They lost all of my documents that I sent them via FedEx and then proceeded to ask me that I send them a second time. I didn't even bother once I knew I got into UT.

The great thing about UT is the fact that it is a small school and small campus. I loved my time at FSU, but there is something nice about knowing the professors and the administrators that you are working with and seeing them on a regular basis. UT also places a huge emphasis on teachers teaching. What I mean by that, is that at a school like FSU, the professors really only teach because they have to. Their main goal is research. While UT professors do research, their main goal is to teach students. If they don't do that well, then they are fired or asked to leave. I can personally vouch for how much better the teachers are here than many I had at FSU.

Hope this helps.

Just saw your comment, I know the SAT is not necessarily an accurate intelligence test, but it is a pretty accurate analysis of how well someone will do in college. My point was for a school that thinks they are the Harvard of the South, I find it quite ironic that their hero had an 890 SAT, that their football team has the third worst average SAT scores in all of FBS and that their school has the highest disparity in all of FBS between student average SAT and athlete average SAT.

Yeah, I do take a bunch of crap for the name. I do a little give and take on the RC, but I get frustrated with some on there. There are others though who pick up the slack much better than I could. I do however get frustrated when it happens in the TC. When I am in there, it is to talk football.
