No, Homey is not banned, and the game has nothing to do with him not posting here. I talk to Homey a few days before the game and he told me it wouldn't be posting here very much anymore. Frankly, he's tired of all the gay jokes and insinuations, and I am too... it gets so tiring. Too bad we can't come up with better smack. This is not a blanket accusation, the majority on here post good smack, and provide interesting and fun links and information and are a credit to FSU and the spirit of smack.

I've probably stayed quiet too long on this subject and regret it.
Everyone on this board knows I give our rival posters as much ish as anyone. What I rarely state is there are more than a few of those rival posters that I respect as what and how they represent themselves. Homer most certainly falls into this category.
Forget about whether or not this board would turn into a circle jerk without rivals because quite honestly I'll run smack if my username is the only one on line. This is about more than that. Although I've never met the man, I can honestly say Homer is a good guy. Of course he says things about FSU that pisses off Nole posters - he's a rival for crying out loud. But just because he posts 'smack' (after all that is kinda the point of the board) doesn't mean the man deserves to be assaulted with over the top personal attacks disguised as 'smack'. I'm not talking about the occasional teasing as Homer even pokes fun at himself quite often. I'm talking about the completely unnecessary attacks on him as a person. Gay jokes or references don't bother me but in my opinion they're as easy to use as 'I poked your mom/wife' jokes. They take very little creativity but if used en masse can really drive a person to just say f'k it and move on.
I've stuck up for Thuggie on this board. I've stuck up for int1974 on this board. Neither one of them ever needed it and neither does Homer. I'd have a beer with Homer and run smack just like I do on the board if fate ever crossed our paths.
I think the posters that know they've crossed the line with him know who they are. There really isn't any need to point fingers or have apologies issued and I'm sure Homer could give a rat's ass either way. This is just me stating the way I've seen this situation going on for months.
For a disclaimer - I do blast drive by rivals worse than anyone on this board and I don't post on ITG. There is no ulterior motive here. Just my 2 cents.

He's alright. As far as I am concerned, he is welcome to visit any time. But, if he doesn't, I ain't crying. I didn't ask him to leave, and I'm not asking him to come back. That's a personal thing and it's up to him. I remember when I got so upset that I stated I was leaving and didn't know if I was ever coming back. He was one of the one's who ragged my azz for months about that so I say to him, don't take this stuff so personal. I learned to live with it and I'm sure he can to.

I tried to get Homer to get us some tickets to the FSU vs UF game a year ago. He wouldn't have any part of it though. I would certainly go to a game with Homer and have a beer with him.

I know I am one of the guilty ones of which you guys speak. Dude should nut up, be a man. He is in the house of a hated rival, what is he looking for, what does he expect, a bouquet of flowers? Dish it out? He can do that with the best of em. Take it? Well if he picks up his toys and runs home you have your answer. I have never felt the need to go into some ones house and talk crap about anything trying to validate my school or team. Let the team do it on the field, the school stands on it's own high standards. He darkens the door of my house then it's game on. If he really, really don't like the ranking his beloved city has earned, he needs to take it up with those who earned it, not those who are simply pointing out the error of their ways. Don't tell him, but I kinda enjoy smackin the ole boy around, and reading his feeble attempts at comebacks. What he needs to do is try and emulate the hide of his gates, not their big mouth. And you are right homes, I AM indeed a raunchy old Nole. Don't let them boys from louie-ville stop your fun, jump on in. The waters fine.

If a poster cannot come close to Duke-like smack on here, you should give them one warning, then a 8 hr ban for the second bad smack offense...after that we vote on it.
I personally would like to see more Gators here anyway, kind of pointless to talk smack to myself, their board has too many serious posters on it, and does my head in.
MJ Williamson was always a good adversary.

Yes Ranchero, since you brought it up, you are one of them. And don't take this as I'm trying to run you off, because that's the last thing I want to do. What I do want is to get it into that thick noggin of your's is that gay jokes/insinuations and references are not football smack. Not only do they have very little to do with football, they have absolutely nothing at all to do with football. night on here......... kinda like the eminem movie where 2 battle each other then viewers judge with a 2-5 minute time limit.....lol. Main rule being its gotta be disrepecting other football teams program. So no personal cracks like being gay or anything like that. Amberjack<homer> sux most of the time at smack but I think he type or can hunt and peck pretty fast. Which gives him a jabber with no powerpunch chance at winning........

Although 64 and I exchanged some Holiday greetings via email, I obviously did not mention to him that Homer is in fact banned. I didn't see a reason to bring it up, because I was quite certain that 64 is not the one who banned me.

I'm still wondering why somebody would use 30-year-old, single-malt, Scotch whiskey as an ingredient for a "punch" that sounds more disgusting than the cheapest brand of malt liquor.
64, thanks for having my back (again), but I really don't want you to undo something that was done by another mod. If I knew which mod banned me, I would have emailed him by now. I suspect it has something to do with the fact that tollbooth doesn't know the actual meaning of the word "queer", and he side-stepped you to find a mod who doesn't bother opening the "offensive" thread, when he receives a complaint. I will tiptoe lightly until I have had a chance to converse with the mod who whacked me. It appears to have happened about a week before Christmas. I truly appreciate your desire to help, but I wish not to accept anything but the identity of the mod who banned me, so that I can discuss the reason and my status with him/her.
omega ... I don't know who got you this time, but please send me something that I can discuss with JD and pass. I know that both of those guys like you, just as I do, but we do get a lot of complaints. Somebody caved, but we can obviously come to an agreement -- keeping in mind that we do not have a Smack board over there.

I think it was for the New Year's eve rant, you know Clemson beat LSU and the SEC sucks. I was drunk and I just emailed passover. There should not be a perma ban for drunk posting over there and I would like to revive Tampa's megan recruiting thread. There are some things we need to discuss!!!

I imagine Homey still remembers the night several years ago when he was so drunk he didn't realize he was on the football board instead of the smack board. It took me over an hour to clean up the mess. Nothing worse than a drunk puking on the floor, good thing the mods on that board were asleep.

Unfortunately, since I was bouncing back and forth between the two boards at that time, I didn't notice that I was on the Football board when I made my first post.
