Let me splain something to you simpletons: "the tide is turning" refers to the 3 wins in a row you brought up. The shadow refers to the fact that overall, throughout history, FSU can't hold a candle to Miami. Many more NCs and a firm lead in the overall series despite 3 in a row. Every huge game between these two teams, the top matchups, the classics that resonate in CFB history, the ones that in part decided a national champion, have all been won by Miami. Every single one. Quick, name the biggest wins FSU has ever had over Miami. Do they compare to 87, 88, 91, 92, 00? Not even close. Honestly, neither program has done crap since 2002 and I believe the series is pretty even in that time.

FSU has won 3 ACC titles.
UM has won 0 ACC titles.
I could also come up with a few others, like BCS apparences, recent state champions, etc. But generally I only do that much work for fan bases with more than 1,000 fans, like Bethune-Cookman, or Famu.
