Let's address the gator posters. With me, it's all about likability. For instance, I like some of the UM posters, such as Uswag and Thuggie and a couple of others. But, I can state with all honesty, that I have a distinct dislike for any gator poster that has ever shown up on this board.
Besides naturally dispising anything gator, they just rub me the wrong way. It's not what they say, it's how they say it. I truly believe that each and every one of them slide down the tube when they are born with that arrogant, holier than thou attitude and haven't changed since. They post everything like they live their lives...that is to say "I'm better than you and you better bow down to your betters".
While I am not a poor man, I'm not rich either. When I lived in Winter Park, Florida for years, I lived next to, and became friends with, three gator families that were rich. I came to know them very well and they were civil to me and I to them. But, despite the civility, there was always this underlying current of snobbishment. I don't think they tried to be that way, it's just that they couldn't help themselves. The entire three families were three generation gators and they wore what they thought was a mantel of greatness just because they were graduates of Florida. I resented that attitude and I resent it when they come on here. It is why I am usually uncivil to them. An aside here...I realize all gators aren't rich.
I would prefer that this smack board be like a bunch of rivals getting together at a sports bar and bantering/ribbing one another. I somehow have this idea that is what it is suppose to be. I could be wrong. It's easy to do that with other schools posters, but not posters from the gator boards. I can't stand them and they can't stand me and I'm fine with that.More than likely I don't give them half a chance and I don't intend to. It's just the way I feel and I can't get over myself. End of rant, fire away.

Hmmm. If I read this correctly Smackum, you actually hate all the graduates and fans of UF, without even knowing anything about them. I think you need to seek professional help... quick... before it's too late...
I have many gator friends and I can't think of any offhand whom I truly dislike. I do dislike some of the ways they act as a poster, but that's true of any fan base, including Noles.

All of the Gator mods said we did not ban you, so I went to the Admin board to unban you, and it said that you were not banned -- I simply assumed that somebody had beaten me to it.
The site still tells me that omeganole is not banned, but I did not realize that you are now posting as "omeganole2" ...so I have now unbanned that username, as well.

Frontal assault and hyjacking I understand. But In example and in most cases its........ joeGATOR calls johnSEMINOLE an azzhole. John calls him one back.......... and depending on which site their on is who gets the ax. By rule it should be both or none shouldnt it? Seems that would be a more assertive way to handle it. Smack board usually lets things ride tho unless it gets real ugly. But the gates...... just aren't that cool yet. Gotta go...gonna go watch the DVR of the sugar bowl.

The only time I was ever banned on gateybate (aside from Swami's drunken acts of revenge) was, I believe, my first post over there. I jumped in a thread with Jaxbo and JD and GatorShime. They were joking around so I added my .02 cents and bam, Shime got me for 7 days. All I did was call him a fool. He sure took it the wrong way though. I didn't post there again until Shime left and GatorTheo took his place. Theo is a great guy, I wish he would post here more often.

Actually, I think Theo was a mod even before Shime was -- Gecko was the first, and I think Theo came soon afterward.
Theo was never too tough on Noles, unless they went by names like "NoleDawg", or "FSUDawg", or "GANole".
To this day, we still don't have many Georgia fans on our board -- Theo and Gecko cleaned the place up pretty well.

My story is much like 64s. My first post there was years ago in a thread started by some gator concerning just how badly Spurrier's leaving was for the team back then. I agreed and was banned for agreeing with all the other gatah posters! I must have posted there when they were in shutdown - mind concentration mode on some upcoming cupcake foe like the southwestern Idaho spuds.

Yeah, that GB clubhouse is quite ......skitzo. Knoticed its normal for awhile. Every1 makes their points, argue like adults on this or that. I was watching the Texas fast draw championships 2 nights ago. I noticed this site the "Doc Holliday" museum in Grifffin, Georgia. So far so good this guy comes on showing people around and his name is Bill Dunn and he is a cousin of Holliday. So far so good, but then I notice this is my cousin Bill from Griffin. So I think wait he is Doc's cousin, so I must be?
I call him up and he says yeah you did not realize that Doc is your cousin? I said no and he said it gets better. Margaret Mitchell is also our cousin, she wrote gone with the wind! I know this sounds strange but true. Now we have a deal, I am sending Border Patrol (in uniform) pics and he is going to put them by Doc at the museum. I am not kidding, this all stunned me.

Now my cousin is not the guy outside with the cowboy suit but the guy inside doing the talking.

I've found the Gator boards to be very, very touchy. Touchy enough that they come off as being prissy little women. I don't know about Gatorbait, I haven't posted over there (at least, I don't recall doing so), but I've been banned at another network' gator site several times and all for silly reasons. My favorite: In a nole bashing thread (before a game), they talked about how we were going to get rolled and how terrible our OL was, etc. . . (we weren't even playing the Gators) and the Noles stomped whoever it was they were playing, so I wrote, "I find this thread amusing." Permabanned for that. If you don't agree that the Noles are terrible, they ban you. Silly little wenches.

Yep. I was banned for this one recently. I had the nerve to suggest that the turnovers were the reason they won (not their dominating offense and defense) and that they didn't dominate the game as FSU was up with 5 turnovers in the 4th quarter. I suggested that the last turnover was the product of a helmet to helmet hit. Banned. They can dish it out but they can't take even a light ribbing especially that fool, Graygator. Oh, hi there JD. Didn't realize you were mod at a Gator site.

You're not thinking far enough back JD. I wasn't even a mod back then. I can't remember how long I had been on WC before I decided to post on GB. Probably a year though. I started out posting on the old FRZ board and had become acquainted with quite a few gators there, most of them pretty nice and some not so much. Needless to say they didn't post on GB. There was one bull gator there who befriended me and we grew to become really good friends but after the board closed shop I lost track of him and now I can't remember his name. I think Jaxbo gave me a name of who he thought it may have been one time. If he will give me the name again I will track him down.
