Characters like Joe Pesci, HGator, Lil65, the Louisville Monkey Screwer, the Hoosier Mini-Ninja, the Abercrombie & Fitch model, Gudger, and the rest of the losers seem to have faded into oblivion. My guess is gainful employment or the Federal Witness Protection Program. I must find new worlds to explore.

This isn't a knock on Pass because he seems like a decent guy but he absolutely can not take smack. I think he tolerates it simply because Jax and JD are 'senior' but when he has the chance he pops even the regulars for minor stuff (note: I've never been banned on ITG and really only lurk from time to time so I'm only speaking from what it appears to be).
I've actually called Pass out over here simply because I know he can't take it as well as Jax and JD and sometimes it is fun to pick on the weak. His posting style has always been more of what the majority of the regulars on ITG are (just football talk with the occasional pop shot that doesn't want a reply) than what Jax, JD and some others are looking for.
With that said, Pass would make a great GSF Mod if ITG had a smack board. He does a solid job of keeping the rivals in line but there is so much bait over there and a few posters that want to mix it up that the board stays in constant flux.
Again, not a knock on him but for the sake of Pass and the rest of the regulars that don't want to talk smack, you guys would benefit greatly by giving the 'trouble makers' a place to go.

That's a very accurate assessment d-ronanole. Dang, I can't say I disagree with any of that. Part of it stems from the fact that I am/was a regular poster for years and was asked to replace Swami as mod and I refused the offer. I wanted to stay a regular poster. But then later on Jax begged (lol) me to reconsider and I finally relented.
I feel like I've evolved though to some degree, but may never be as good as JD or Jax

Its Not the 'place'. Its the mods in my humble opinion. Seen gates over here talk a lil smack in response and they are still around. But over there, anything, even disaggreeing with facts to back you up......... will getcha da chomp. Im sure the beating they took by the cards made things worse. This WHOLE offseason is NOT gonna be good for em Im sure. Now THAT part, I GET. I understand that soreness. But the 'power trip, no disagreement,any rival team better kiss our azz thing' has NOTHING to do with that soreness. Because it was that way when they were WINNING every game.

You guys do the best with a difficult situation. When there's 20 bait threads on the first page, a 70/30 split in home team/visitor regular posters, a faction of posters that want to talk smack, and a solid majority that doesn't want any rivals 2 cents (good or bad) you're stuck trying to play the middle man. 64 has a difficult job here as well seeing as 'smack' can take many forms and it is difficult to tell some of the home team guys that they can't take it as well as they think they can.
The FB Mods have it the easiest (not that that is saying much). The slightest movement of incivility gets the ban hammer.

They've tracked me down over here a couple of times, too. Sometimes they think they should lend 64 a hand ... or at least a finger.

Thanks Jax but I think 64 does a good job with (like GSF) a difficult situation. I would consider helping out if it was needed or if 64 ever decided to 'retire'.
Of course it may end my PUI wheel of smack nights with Thuggie and the gang (at least under this username
).

I agree, but no single person can police a board at all times. 64's back-ups have always been FB board mods, who usually have very little familiarity with Smack Board dos and don'ts, and they don't know Smack Board regular posters. I've been banned 3 times by "back-up" mods, and as I told 64 yesterday, I have no problem with that ... it is very hard to adjust to a situation where rivals are supposed to be allowed to mouth off a little.
That's why it would be great if a person like yourself could have 64's back. Like 64, you know the difference between posters who are engaging in friendly smack and those who are simply flaming the home team. That is much more difficult for a mod who normally hangs out on a board that does not have to take crap from even the friendliest of rival posters.
I wish ITG's traffic would pick up to the point that we could have a smack board over there. I love having posters like yourself, 93/99, omega, etc. over there, but since our only sports board is much like your football board, you guys have to really watch what you say over there, or else the blood pressure will rise in those posters who have no desire to see the opinion or a rival, when it comes to college sports discussions.
As I have noted many times in the past -- this is currently the only board that allows us to have that type of fun.
